Grand Canyon National Park: A Wonder of the Natural World

Now I know firsthand why they call this canyon the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon is the largest of its kind, carved by the Colorado River over millions of years.  The trip my boyfriend Todd and I took to the Grand Canyon was brief, but very memorable. We hiked along the south rim of the canyon and explored a few sites around the region. My favorite spot along this trail was where we saw fossils in the rocks along the rim. It was so cool to imagine dozens of pterodactyls nesting on these cliffs.

The beauty of the Grand Canyon isn’t something you can really describe. It is one of those places you MUST see for yourself. It ranks at number two in my list of must-see parks.

The photos I took don’t do this park justice, but I hope they inspire you to visit.
